Mouse's Story

Mouse
3 year, spayed female, 10 lbs
Chihuahua mix

PERSONALITY TRAITS: The first impression of Mouse is that she is nervous. She has had a tough time, so understandably she is on her guard with new people. However, with patience, kindness, and lots of treats, her loving and playful side shines through. Mouse is a smart little cookie, quick to learn when treats are involved. She shows no aggression and has a lot of love to give.

LIKES: Food. Mouse is very food-motivated which really helps with positive reinforcement training. She loves hanging out on the sofa with her person, her foster sister, wandering around in the yard, and did we mention, food!

DISLIKES: Wearing a leash, being approached too quickly, uninvited petting

POTTY TRAINING STATUS: She is house-trained and just needs to be let outside on a regular routine.

CRATE TRAINING STATUS: Yes. Mouse really likes her crate and hangs out in it sometimes during the day and sleeps in it at night.

EXTRAS/MISC: Mouse was rescued after being abandoned and tied to a bus-stop, so she does not like the leash. She needs a home with a fenced yard for exercise. With training she may be able to go out on walks, but it would likely take lots of positive encouragement.

To further inquire about MOUSE, submit an application.
https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/

Tell us about yourself, family, other pets, and how MOUSE will mesh with your lifestyle. Qualifying applicants will be contacted by our Adoption Coordinator with next steps and an opportunity to set up a Meet & Greet.

Our process is NOT a “first come, first served” process. (We DO NOT hold pets for later consideration.) Our team carefully reviews and interviews applicants for the best possible fit for each adoptable pet, and potential family. Submitting an application does not guarantee a call or response from our rescue. Our volunteers will screen the applications and reach out if it is determined to be a good fit.

We look forward to facilitating a positive and solid adoption for MOUSE, as well as her future family.
*Fostered in Eugene/Springfield, OR

ADOPTION APP: https://wigglytails.org/adoption-application/
