Moseley's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This handsome fellow will fit into almost any home. Moseley gets along with dogs, cats, children, and humans, and his two favorite things are late-night treats and chasing squirrels. He doesn't just wag his tail when he's happy; he wags his whole body! He barks as an alert and then settles. He loves to roam the yard and play in the snow, and he equally loves snuggling in his warm bed or the loveseat if it's available. He is house-trained and well-mannered; he sits for a treat and can even catch one in mid air! He sometimes gets excited when new people visit and wants to jump, but he settles nicely. He is such a great companion! He does okay on a leash, though he sometimes pulls if he sees a deer or rabbit, so we recommend a harness and leash training.

Moseley came to us from a shelter, where his days were numbered. We didn't know much about his past, but from the moment he walked into his foster home, we knew he was going to be something special. He fit right into the hustle and bustle of a home with two teenage boys, two resident dogs, and two cats, no issues at all!

*Moseley's adoption fee is $200.Interested in this animal? The first step is an application, which can be completed at www.cvrrescue.org/adoption-applications/.

The adoption fee helps cover a portion of the care provided for our animals, including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm testing for dogs, FeLV/FIV combo testing for cats, deworming, age-appropriate vaccines (including rabies vaccine), and any medical care received while in our care. All cats and dogs are on flea/tick and parasite prevention for the duration of foster care.

Notes about puppies: Adopters can expect a new puppy to have accidents, chew things they shouldn't, and have other normal, energetic puppy issues until they are trained, including jumping, mouthing, and general youthful naughtiness. If you experience puppy issues, please feel free to contact us; we’re happy to offer guidance. Also, if a puppy is a mixed breed, we cannot guarantee an adult weight. If your residence has weight restrictions or if you’re looking for a specific adult weight, we don't recommend applying for a mixed-breed puppy.

We also offer rehoming services for pets currently owned by individuals. In these cases, we list the animal as a courtesy to the owner, and the animal is not currently in the care of CVRR, such that we can make no representation or guarantee of the animal’s behavior, demeanor, or health assessment. All information listed for a courtesy-posted animal is provided by the current owner and should be verified by any potential adopter.

CVRR is a nonprofit organization. We have no paid staff, and all applications are reviewed and processed by our volunteers. Please be patient and understand that it may take 7-14 days to process your application, check your references, and gather follow-up info. You can expedite the process by providing accurate phone numbers and email addresses for your vet and landlord references, and by answering each question fully. Once your application is approved, we will schedule a meet-and-greet to see if the animal picks you, too. If it seems the adoption will be a good match for all, we will collect the adoption fee and complete the adoption contract.

CVRR is a NO KILL rescue organization, and we have a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to all of our animals. If for any reason the adoption does not work out, the animal must be returned to CVRR. We will reevaluate the animal and choose a new home based on the best fit for it.
