Morty's Story

Morty
Male
Breed: Pittie mix
DOB - 12/2/2019
Weight: 47 lbs.

Morty is a total lovebug — he adores people and would happily spend his days cuddled up next to his humans. If you're looking for a snuggle partner who thinks he's a lap dog, this guy is your match. One of Morty's absolute favorite things in the world are car rides! Even spelling the word R-I-D-E has this boy is jumping for joy!!! We think he may have been dumped by a trucker, so a nice open window for him to stick his head out of in the car makes him the happiest boy.
On walks, Morty does great. He walks fine on a regular collar, but he's extra polite and responsive with a prong collar. He is doing very well with potty training and loves getting outside to explore.
Morty is wonderful with other dogs and would thrive in a home solo, or with a friendly canine buddy. Cats, however, are not his ideal roommates — he finds them a little too enticing to chase. So a home without cats would be best.
He's currently working on crate training and making fantastic progress! Understandably, he has a little bit of separation/abandonment anxiety, but he settles faster and more comfortably every day and is proving to be a smart, eager learner. And to top it all off... Morty has two adorable spots on his back that look like someone tapped him with a two-hole punch. They're his little signature and make him even more charming.
If you're looking for a cuddly, car-ride-loving, goofy sweetheart to add joy to your home, Morty might be your perfect match He'd love to be part of your family.
