Mortimer's Story
I am in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting, submit an adoption questionnaire by email. Learn more hereMortimer, a 1-year-old, 46-pound pittie mix, is looking to become the newest member of your pack! Found alone in a dog park at around 5 months old, Mortimer has blossomed into a fun-loving, dog-social one year old adolescent. Mortimer is housebroken, crate trained, and loves belly rubs and cuddling up close with people he trusts.

Mortimer gets along well with almost every dog he has met. He is gentle with the senior dog in his foster home, while playing rowdy games of chase and wrestling with his 3 year old foster brother. He also attends weekly doggy playgroups at the shelter, where he is a "rockstar" who can join in with every type of play.

Mortimer is timid outside the home, especially in unfamiliar, busy or noisy environments. He takes time to warm up to people, and will need a patient adopter who is willing to take time to build his trust and introduce him slowly and carefully to the world around him. Since Mortimer is much more comfortable with other dogs around, he would do best in a home with a confident, playful canine companion (or two!).

Click here to learn how to adopt and submit your adoption questionnaire.
