Morrie's Story
Hi, I’m Morrie! I have been in my foster home for a little more than a
week and I am learning so much! I learned that I have to sit calmly
for my foster human to set down my food bowl or give me my favorite
toys. I learned to come when she calls me and also to play some fun
games. I taught my foster human that when I tap the door and sometimes
whine, it means I need to go out. We’re not perfect at this but I’m
working hard!

I follow my foster human everywhere—I want to always know where she is
and what she’s doing. I love to play with other dogs! I meet them on
my walks, and I even had a play date with a big friend and we did dual
zoomies all around the yard. When I get tired from playing, I like to
lay in a lap and have my ears and belly scratched—humans are so
snuggly!

I sleep in my crate all night, and sometimes during the day.

If you're looking for a faithful lab mix, Morrie just might be your guy.

Morrie is a peppy little boy who is unbothered by things that make
some dogs nervous. Spray from the shower? Huh. Accidentally start the
robo-vacuum? Oh, well. Surprise falling objects? Just step out of the
way. Loud noises? Interesting, but no big deal. He is amazingly agile
and loves running up and down stairs. He’s like a little deer—light
and springy when he runs.

Morrie would thrive in a home with another canine buddy, but would do
well as an only dog with human(s) ready to play with him to keep his
mind and little body active.

Morrie is estimated to be 5 months old and 17 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.

If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events!

Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/
You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet!

Saturday, February 21, 12:00-2:00pm, Forgotten Star Brewing, 38 Northern Stacks Drive, Fridley https://www.facebook.com/events/1406567791037135
