Moose's Story

Meet Moose - a 9 year old senior silver male with a long tail, Moose is 100lbs of LOVE! This old guy gets along well with other dogs. He's currently being fostered in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. Moose came to GLWR after his beloved owner had to enter a long-term care home. It was a sad day indeed. Moose is coming out of his shell in his foster home. Moose loves to go on daily walks and rides well in the car. Bonus if you have a local Dunkin' Donuts in your neighbourhood. (wink wink) Moose can free roam at home and can be counted on to be a mature guardian of another younger dog brother or sister. Best if you have a fenced in yard for Moose - as this is what he's used to. Moose is patiently waiting your call in Menomonee Falls! Apply today if you can provide this well-behaved senior a soft place to land!

Great Lakes Weimaraner Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Adoption Application Request  Interested in adopting? GLWR is committed to giving rescue dogs the best chance at a wonderful life.  To that end, we ask you to know these things: 1.  The application process is not instantaneous.  We are all volunteers and we move things along as quickly as possible.  We need to get to know you through the application process; just like we get to know the dogs through our intake process.  It is in the best interest of all involved that this be done correctly. 2.  We do not hold dogs.  Approved adopters have their choice of appropriate dogs for their situation.  If you see a dog on the website that you would like, we cannot guarantee that that dog will still be available once your application is approved. 3.  Note to Families with children:   Weimaraners are large, energetic dogs who need a ton of daily exercise. They can be great family dogs, but will think nothing of knocking down toddlers to get to the door, or snatch cookies from their hands.
