Moose's Story

Hi, my name is Moose! I’m a very friendly and polite boy. I am about 5
years old and was found as a stray and brought to the shelter on
4/1/24. I was adopted and had a wonderful home until my dad got so sick he can no longer walk or care for me. He said I was the very very best boy and it was a really sad situation so unfortunately, I had to come back to the shelter on 1/9/26.

I’m a picky eater but once I find something I like, I don’t
hesitate to eat it. I’m pretty relaxed throughout the day for the most
part but I do need exercise. I love going on long walks and would be the perfect
companion to join you on a hike. I used to go on the state park trails all the time with my dad. I like most dogs but do NOT like cats OR chickens.

Per my previous owner; I am not destructive when left loose in the home when he is gone, I am housebroken, and am just a very good all around dog but do need someone who can give me enough exercise. I would do best with someone who has dog experience.

If you would like to stop by and visit with me, please call 518-842-8050
to make an appointment. Hope to see you soon!

Montgomery County SPCA's Adoption Policy
At the Montgomery County SPCA, we are dedicated to finding responsible, forever homes for all the pets in our care. To that end, we have created a thorough adoption process which helps us achieve this goal. This process includes a check of veterinary history records on any pets you currently have, and a home visit. If you rent your home, we require written proof (letter or lease) from your landlord that you are allowed to have pets. We undertake this kind of thorough review to ensure that animals who have already been discarded at least once will never have to experience this again.
