Moonshine's Story

Moonshine has been at East Ridge Animal Shelter just over a month, and kennel life is starting to weigh on him. The noise, the constant movement, the lack of routine -- it's a lot for a dog who clearly once belonged to someone.
When Moonshine was found as a stray, he was already neutered. That tells us something important: someone cared about him. At some point, he had a home. He wasn't forgotten -- he was loved.
He's a stunning boy with a steel-gray coat, a proud stance, and those absolutely perfect ears that stand at attention like he's listening for his next adventure. But behind that confident look is a dog who is ready to exhale. Ready for stability. Ready for a couch, a yard, a person.
Shelter frustration has made it difficult to properly test him with other dogs. The kennel environment can amplify stress, and Moonshine deserves to be seen outside of bars and concrete. He needs space to decompress and show who he truly is.

What we do know?
He is strong. He is handsome. He is loyal-looking in that deep, steady way. And he is ready to belong again.

Moonshine doesn't need perfection, he needs patience, He needs leadership, He needs someone willing to see past the kennel and into the dog, HE NEEDS A HOME!

If you're looking for a striking, unforgettable companion who just needs a fair chance -- Moonshine is waiting.
