Moon's Story

My name is Moon, but everyone calls me Mooooooooooon! They say it's because of the long bark I do when I greet you but I think they just want to be more like me. I'm a big boy who LOVES people but I might bark when meeting you for the first time, especially if you didn't bring treats! The care staff says I'm a gentleman and they even let me play with some of the older puppies who need a friend. I do pick favorites though, I might even pick you! Some fun facts about me: I'm potty trained, and know several commands (sit, stay, shake, roll over, go place, lay down, and out of the kitchen.) My favorite things are tough toys that squeak, bones, and stuff to play tug-of-war!

I'd love to get the chance to know you so come see me and give me your best "Mooooooooon!"

Texas Humane Heroes -- No Kill Animal Adoption Centers's Adoption Policy
Pet Adoption Guidelines A lifetime commitment must be made to the animal, and the animal must be kept as a family pet. Must be 21 years of age or older and have proper identification. Must be able to prove that property management permits pets if renting or prove homeownership. The adoption process takes at least 90 minutes. This gives you and the pet time to meet, bond, make a well-thought decision, review and sign the paperwork, and the adoption counseling process. If you are considering adopting, you need to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to closing. The Texas Humane Heroes 14-Day Promise gives adopters peace-of-mind to bring an animal back to TXHH for treatment if they show signs of illness within 14 days of adoption.
