Mookie's Story

Hi, I’m Mookie!

I’m about 4½ months old now and living my very best puppy life in foster care while I wait for my forever family to find me.

My foster happens to be the head trainer at The Pittie Project PNW, so I’ve already gotten a pretty great start on learning how to be the best version of myself. I’ve been introduced to puppy nose work, I’m doing short confidence-building sessions on the slatmill, and I’m learning all the important puppy skills like crate training, potty training, and settling in new environments.

The good news? I’m crushing it.

I sleep through the night in my crate (about 12 hours!) with no accidents, I’m great in the crate in the car, and I’m learning how to channel all this happy puppy energy into the right outlets.

Speaking of happy… my foster says I might be one of the happiest puppies she’s ever met. I love toys, I love to run and play, and I’m always ready to greet the day with a wagging tail and a big smile.

I’ve also been getting exposure to all kinds of new things and taking it all in stride. Goats, horses, donkeys, chickens—you name it. I checked them out, decided they were pretty interesting, and happily carried on with my day.

I absolutely love other dogs and enjoy playing with my canine friends, though like any young pup I’m still learning my excited puppy manners and boundaries. I’m curious, eager to engage, and I really thrive when I have clear structure and leadership.

And when the day winds down? I’m a total snuggle machine.

My foster says she’s honestly shocked I haven’t been scooped up yet because I really am the complete puppy package: happy, affectionate, confident, and ready to grow into an incredible dog with the right family.

If you’re looking for a joyful, goofy, trainable puppy and you’re excited about raising a great dog—not just having one—I might be your guy.

Please apply through our website at www.thepittieprojectpnw.org/apply
, as Petfinder inquiries can be a little glitchy and don’t always make their way to our team.
