Mookie

Mookie is a beautiful 10-year-old Pit Mix, weighing about 65lbs. She was in a foster home for a couple years before being transferred to our rescue.<br/><br/>Mookie is sweet and playful with the people she knows and trusts. She will need multiple, slow introductions, but once she trusts you, you're in for all the love! Mookie always keeps her kennel clean and enjoys playing with squeaky plush toys and snuggling in bed. She loves to go on walks with her volunteer friends. Mookie's favorite outdoor activities include sunbathing and taking naps in the pool.<br/><br/>Mookie has been diagnosed with arthritis and hypothyroidism. She is on meds for that as well as some allergies and seems to be doing well! In her older age, she has lost her hearing. Mookie is looking for a home as the only pet and would do best in a home without children.
