MOOF's Story

Hi, my name is Moof, and I'm ready to find my forever home.

The first thing you should know about me is that I'm a total lover. I'm still new to the big, wide world outside of the shelter, so I might seem a bit skittish when meeting new people, but if you'll take a minute to sit down with me on a bed or couch, I'll be stretching into your lap and demanding belly rubs in no time. At any given point in time, there's a 90% chance I'm sprawled over some furniture, and the only thing that could make it better would be if you joined me.

You'll also be glad to hear that I'm all about manners. I'm potty-trained, so my foster family hasn't had to worry about any accidents in the house. I've been sleeping through the night, and I have a really good relationship with my crate; I'm perfectly content to chill out if you need to leave me alone for a few hours, and I might choose to rest in my crate even if you are home. It's a safe space for me, but I do confess to preferring a bigger, wire crate with room to splay out. I'm great on walks with my foster brother leading the way — I can be a little timid when walking on my own, but I'm not a leash-puller, which is a great start. I'm also extremely food-motivated and eager to continue learning!

Speaking of my foster brother, you should know that other dogs are the key to my heart. My foster brother has really helped me blossom in my foster home; he's teaching me how to beg for dinner, play tug-of-war, demand pets from the humans, steal the warm spot on the couch when you stand up to get something, bounce around like a fox when we're wrestling, and find the most interesting piles of leaves to sniff when we're on walks. I would love to live with another confident dog who can continue to show me the ropes, but I'm also a human-lover, and I would be just as thrilled to find a loving family who wants to watch me come out of my shell as their one-and-only.

If you bring me home, I promise to repay you in laughs, cuddles, and my undying loyalty. If you're seeking an affectionate companion who's got the basics down and is just yearning to find a permanent, comfortable spot to land, I'm your girl — and I can't wait to meet you.

Love, Moof
