Montana's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Montana - She’s an 11 week old hound/lab/shepherd mix (maybe?) up for adoption with Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York. She is as cute as a button and so very sweet. She’s just a baby so she still likes to be close and cuddled, but if you’re busy she’s second happiest in her little bed. This southern gal is not used to our cold temperatures, but she does like to play in the snow, for little bits at a time. She’s also usually quick about her business and will come to your feet when she’s ready to go in. She has not had any accidents in the house, but because she’s so little, that does require taking her out often. She sleeps through the night. She gets along well with people and dogs. And, she’s also got the sweetest puppy breath. If Montana sounds like a fit, you may apply for her at www.homewardbounddogrescue.com

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
