Monkey's Story

Monkey came to us in a way that still makes our hearts ache. One of the veterinary clinics we work closely with reached out after Monkey’s family brought him in requesting euthanasia — not because he was sick, and not because he was aggressive, but simply because they felt they could no longer care for him. The veterinarian could not agree with that decision and immediately contacted us. Without hesitation, we said yes.

Now, Monkey is safe in a loving foster home and finally getting the care and kindness he has always deserved. And he is ready for a forever family who will cherish him for the rest of his days.

Monkey is a senior boy, around 80 pounds, with the gentlest soul. He is incredibly sweet, calm, and affectionate, bringing a sense of peace wherever he goes. In the home, he is quiet, polite, and respectful. He is fully house trained, eats his meals twice a day like the perfect gentleman he is, and rarely ever barks. Monkey gets along well with other dogs and settles easily into his surroundings, asking for very little in return.

What Monkey wants most is simple — a soft place to rest, a predictable routine, and someone who will love him unconditionally. Senior dogs like Monkey are so often overlooked, yet they offer the deepest, most grateful kind of love. He has so much to give and is just waiting for someone to choose him.

Monkey is ready for his forever home. Please don’t let him wait any longer.

Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.

APPLY on our WEBSITE:
Rebeldogsdetroit.com/applytoadopt
Rebeldogsdetroit.com/becomeafoster
