Monet is a 3-year-old, 24-pound spaniel-beagle mix with a tender heart and a story of resilience. Rescued from the middle of the road after being left behind by her family—pregnant and alone—she has endured more than any dog should. Sadly, her puppies did not survive, but Monet’s spirit remains gentle and hopeful.<br/><br/>She is shy and cautious, needing time to feel safe before allowing people to pick her up and show her affection. Yet she adores the company of other dogs and blossoms in their presence. This is completely curable after treatment and dogs can go on to live long and happy lives. Our rescue is one of the first to do Chagas testing for all of the dogs in our care and is having measurable success in the treatment protocol. We are also focused on continued education and awareness of Chagas to help even more dogs. She can travel with any approved application and confirmed adoption.
