Momma Heidi's Story

DOB: Nov 11, 2024

I'm a kind, friendly, medium-energy pup weighing about 60 pounds. I'm considered a large dog, and my foster family is helping me gain a little more weight - which I certainly don't mind, because I love to eat... yum!

I'm gentle with the resident cat, and I do well with respectful little humans, too. I'm fully house-trained and comfortable in my crate. When my humans head out, I'm happy to relax and enjoy a cozy nap until they return.

I'm a quick learner and already know "sit" and "down." I'm very treat-motivated (I'll happily show off my skills for a snack!) and I enjoy my daily walks. I'm also making great progress with loose-leash walking.

I like to stay looking my best, so I patiently tolerate brushing and nail trims like a champ.

My foster family is still learning how I do with other dogs. I've seen a few and tend to prefer slow introductions - I can be a bit particular about my canine friends.

City life is still new to me, and loud noises, cars, and crowds can make me a little nervous. But I'm working on building my confidence every day.

Check back soon for more updates as I continue settling in!

Pause4Change's Adoption Policy
Due to integration issues, there are some pets with incorrect statues or are missing from Petfinder. Please visit our website for the most up to date information. We first do an online application through our website, then if we think the application aligns with our mission we do a phone screening, from here if they still seem like a good fit we do an initial meet and greet with the foster home, if that goes well the animal then goes for a home visit for the day where the foster home gets to go see the house and make sure there are no concerns. From there the adoption will proceed. If the dog / cat is not spayed yet they will go into foster to adopt until the surgery is performed.
