Molly's Story

Hi there, I’m Molly! I may be a bit shy at first, but once you earn my trust, you’ll find a heart of gold beneath all this fluff. I love quiet spaces, soft blankets, and the occasional gentle ear scratch. I’m the perfect companion for someone who appreciates the beauty of patience and love. I’m looking for a patient and understanding family who can help me build my confidence. A calm environment with lots of love and gentle encouragement is just what I need to shine! I’d do best in a home without loud noises or a lot of hustle and bustle. I have done fine with older children.

San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society's Adoption Policy
The San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society is a nonprofit (501c3) all volunteer organization (only 1 person paid to clean our shelter). Our primary mission is to improve the well being of animals (primarily dogs and cats) in the San Luis Valley (SLV). The San Luis Valley is the largest alpine valley in the world (roughly the size of Connecticut). It is also the poorest region of Colorado (1/3 of the residents in the county our shelter is in live below the poverty level. Our extensive spay/neuter program has reduced the number of homeless animals in this valley. And we have provided many many families with fine companion animals.
