Molly's Story

Molly
Female
Terrier Mix
Approx 5 months old
Medium sized

Friendly and affectionate. Loves attention.

This dog needs your help! We would like to rescue him/her, but we can't do so without a foster or a foster-to-adopt (adopter who has the intention of adopting) willing to open their home. Helping rescue a dog in need is one of the most rewarding things that you can ever do in life - just ask any of our volunteers!

Before you commit to the dog, we must help you understand what to expect. Our information on each animal is limited - we only know what our partner rescue and shelters can provide us with. Some of the dogs are coming from a shelter environment and others are coming from a foster home. Most of these dogs have had a tough life, and many have never lived in homes before. Some may not be house broken, or if they are, may still have accidents due to the stresses that come with being placed in a new home. Please be patient with them as they adapt, and expect that all forms of training (potty, leash, etc) will be necessary.

If you are interested in rescuing one of these deserving dogs, either as a foster, or a foster-to-adopt, please fill out an application on our website https://www.716paws.org/foster-to-adopt or message us if you are already pre-approved

716 Promoting Animal Welfare & Safety (716 PAWS)'s Adoption Policy
Currently we only adopt out within a 1 hour commute from the Buffalo Niagara airport. We accept any application outside of that area if the family has no other pets and is willing to come to buffalo for meet and greets with the dogs. If an applicant has other pets it is on a case by case basis weather the foster is willing to travel for the meet and greet. We will consider processing applications outside of Western New York and Rochester if the family has no other dogs in the home and is willing to come to Buffalo for the meet and greet. We do not provide transport services to out of town adopters. We do not adopt within Canada. What's Required to Adopt Required vetting for dogs: They must be spayed or neutered Be current on their rabies, distemper/parvo. Kennel cough/Bordatella is highly recommended but not required for dogs. If current animals are not vaccinated and spayed/neutered, the application will be denied unless there is a valid reason that it was medically necessary not to perform the procedure. Required vetting for Cats:? They must be spayed or neutered Be current on their rabies PLEASE NOTE: You must be 21 or older to adopt. Once your application is received we distribute to our volunteers for processing. First we will contact your vet reference if you current have pets living in the home or have had pets within the past two years. Next we will be contacting your personal references. Next is the home check. This visit is a non dog meeting where a volunteer will meet with you and the members of your household to discuss the adoption process, review the home, the yard and answer any questions you may have. Once the home visit is completed and if you are approved, you will be notified and can then express interest in a dog.
