Molina's Story

Hi! I'm Molina!

I'm about 5 years old, and yes, I was named after Yadi Molina, the favorite baseball player of the sheriff's deputy who rescued me from the streets. So clearly, I was destined to be a star!

I may not know much about baseball, but I definitely know how to steal hearts!

Here's a little about me...

I'm housebroken! Yep, I've got that whole "doing my business outside" thing figured out.

I'm good on a leash, so I'm ready for walks and adventures with my favorite person.

I LOVE yard time! Give me some space to run, play, explore, and enjoy myself, and I'm one happy boy.

I love attention—and I've figured out a pretty clever way to get it. I like to throw my toys around so someone will notice me and come play. Hey, it works!

I love being a lap dog! I might be a little bigger than your average lap puppy, but that doesn't stop me. I'll happily sit on your lap or let you hold me like a baby. I'm basically convinced I'm portable.

Now, about my crate...

I'm happy to go into my kennel when I need to, BUT I have one very important requirement: I MUST have a frozen Kong!

I suck on my frozen Kong like a pacifier, and honestly, it's my favorite way to settle in. So if we're going to be friends, please understand that I have standards.

As for other animals, I think I could be happy with a younger, smaller, female dog friend. I'm not particularly interested in hanging out with other the boys, though. We're also not sure how I feel about cats, so that would need to be figured out.

What I do know is that I love my people, I love to play, I love attention, and I have a whole lot of personality packed into this adorable package.

And if you're not local, that's okay! I can be transported to another state, with transportation arranged by my rescue mom. My furever family could be anywhere!

So if you're looking for a sweet boy who is housebroken, walks nicely, loves yard time, plays with his toys, and thinks your lap is the perfect place to hang out...

Maybe you've just hit a home run.

I'm Molina, and I'm ready to find my furever family!

P.S. Did I mention the frozen Kong? It's not a bribe. It's a requirement for my happiness. And frankly, I'm worth it.

Memphis and Midsouth Animal Advocates's Adoption Policy
I am careful and conservative......lots of information gathering, several meetings at their home and at the rescue. I contact their Vet references if they have cared for animals before. Mandatory three training sessions that I attend with them and the pet if they have never had a pet before. We supervise the introductions of their current animals and their prospective pet. We provide aftercare followup and advice for the lifetime of their pet. We insist in the contract that the pet comes back to us immediately if they don't work in their adoptive family. Our dogs in the Midsouth need to be indoor dogs, no chains or tethers unless their person is outside with them, such as gardening in the front yard or camping.
