Mole from the Hay Field's Story

11/3/2025 update: Mole is from a litter of 11 and his Mum, brother and only sister all came up to Colorado last transport leaving Mole with one brother left in Texas who was adopted by the rescuers. As a result he has really come out of his shell and his confidence has blossomed now that he's had to be more independent. His go to greeting is to sit and try and shake hands.

Mole and his 10 siblings were found with their Mum Moana (also for adoption) in a hay field down in San Antonio, Texas. The owners of the hay field took them in and exposed them to the farm life, including chickens, rabbits and quail!

7 months, 40 pounds, black & white Shepherd/Lab mix

Good on leash

Kennel Trained: Yes

Good with dogs: Yes

Good with cats: Yes

Good with kids: Good with older kids, younger kids not suggested

Potty trained: Working on it

Apartment : Yes

Does not jump

Barks: Sometimes

Separation Anxiety: Not really

Chews: Not really

Good in the car

Doesn't chase or fetch

Personality: Mole is VERY reserved and shy until he gets to know you.
