Mojo's Story

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************

We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog.

Meet Mojo! This sweet, silly 2 year old GSD mix was rescued from an overcrowded Houston shelter and has blossomed into a loving, affectionate boy. He’s neutered, vaccinated, up to date on preventatives, fully potty trained, and crate trained. Mojo loves his people and absolutely melts into affection—our favorite is his signature “timber,” where he leans into your legs and eventually flops onto your feet for belly rubs!

Mojo is an independent guy who can happily relax with you all weekend but is always up for a walk or adventure. He rides wonderfully in the car, walking is generally easy, and he’s curious but comfortable around other dogs. He could happily live with a playful canine companion or be your one-and-only.

Mojo is still learning his doggy manners. He’s discovered that play is pretty fun, but he can get overexcited and intense with toys and bones. He isn’t aggressive—just socially awkward and sometimes a little rude! Continued training and patience will help him become the best playmate he can be.

He’s also a bit of a curious troublemaker when left unattended, so he needs to be crated when alone. Food, toilet paper, and anything within counter-surfing range are simply too tempting! He’s been sweet with older kids and would do best with dog-savvy children around 10+.

Mojo is wonderfully vocal, with adorable groans, yelps, and dramatic sighs whenever he has something to say. He’s incredibly sweet, loyal, and affectionate, with the perfect balance of wanting attention and being able to entertain himself. With a little patience and continued training, this goofy boy is going to make someone a very special companion.

Mojo is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, Texas but can be transported to an approved adopter.

Interested in adding Mojo to your family?
