All of our adoptable pets are fully vetted, which includes all age-appropriate vaccinations, sterilization, a microchip, and monthly prevention for fleas, ticks, and heartworms. We require all potential adopters complete our Adoption Application which is linked below. We thoroughly screen all applicants before starting the trial sleepover, which precedes the final adoption. All of our pets are fostered in private homes by volunteer foster families. Our pets are used to a loving home environment, and as such we can give you detailed notes of the pet’s at-home behaviors. We require all approved adopters to participate in a sleepover trial, where the pet comes to stay in the adopter’s home until the pet is deemed a suitable fit, or 10 days have passed, whichever comes first. If 10 days have passed and the adopter is uncertain they would like to proceed, we will gladly return the pet to their foster home. We welcome you to reach out to us with any questions you may have! We encourage all interested parties to complete the adoption application. We require all applicants to provide 3 personal or professional references, a veterinarian reference, and home photos (instead of a home visit). A fenced-in yard is not required, but it is preferred for certain dogs in our care.
