Mochi's Story

Mochi is a spayed, female pittie that will be 4 years old in May. She was in a litter abandoned at city hall in northeast Texas in June of 2022. She was adopted, along with her brother, to a newly married couple in the late summer of that year. Both were the center of attention and were great at learning commands. To no fault of the pups, the young couple had a huge falling out and divorced. Neither parent could afford to keep the pups without two incomes and both pups were eventually returned to the foster.
Mochi was named after a Japanese dessert the couple shared on their first date. When she came into foster care, she was not even warm to the touch. She had to be bottle fed for about 4 weeks to gain enough strength to hang with her litter mates. Eventually, she flourished and is now a stout, athletic young lady. She is smart and responds to commands. She can even seem remorseful and wants to please you. Mochi needs to be an ONLY DOG and is VERY ANIMAL REACTIVE. She DOES NOT play well with other animals (besides her brother). An ideal home would have a fenced yard and no small children. Mochi has never been aggressive towards a human but does seem to be protective of her foster mom. She loves car rides, walks with her harness on, and chasing birds. She does not need to share a dog park with any other pup.
FOSTERED IN TEXAS
Contact Margie @ margiemanning610@gmail.com
