Mochi's Story
Mochi is a 4-year-old purebred English Labrador Retriever weighing in at 90 lbs of pure love and loyalty. This happy-go-lucky, gorgeous chocolate boy is as friendly as they come and has the kind of temperament that makes everyone fall for him instantly. Mochi plays well with other dogs and tends to be gentle and slightly submissive when meeting new canine friends. He rides great in the car, does stairs just fine, and settles beautifully into home life. He’s fully house trained, has excellent house manners, and does not need a crate — he’s trustworthy and relaxed on his own. True to his Lab nature, Mochi loves lounging on the sofa and being close to his people. He’s not a counter surfer (he’s just a bit too short anyway and is truly an easy, well-rounded companion.

Mochi is being rehomed through no fault of his own. His beloved dad has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and heartbreakingly can no longer care for him. This sweet boy is now looking for a new family to love him the way he deserves. Whoever adopts Mochi will be getting an absolute gem — a loyal, loving, and gentle soul who is ready to bring warmth, comfort, and chocolate-colored joy into your home. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend, Mochi is waiting.

For additional information about Mochi please email Ann Hilchey: ann.hilchey@labs4rescue.org

Mochi is being fostered in Connecticut.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: We receive many questions about our adoption process from potential adopters, most of which can be answered by viewing our "Adopt a Lab" page on our full-service website, (https://labs4rescue.com/adopt).
