Mochi's Story
Fancy Face. Backyard Acrobat. Full-Time Best Girl.

Mochi is a 5-month-old Chow mix with cinnamon fluff, thoughtful eyes, and a black tongue that looks like she borrowed a little piece of the night sky. She looks like she should be sitting on a velvet cushion somewhere, quietly judging the room.

She is not doing that.

Mochi is out here being the best girl you’ve ever met—and lowkey running a one-puppy comedy special.

She came from a hoarding situation on a property with over 40 dogs, so to say she’s well socialized is honestly underselling it. Mochi has seen it all—big dogs, small dogs, bold personalities, shy ones—and she moves through it like a total pro.

She’s naturally submissive, incredibly respectful, and reads other dogs better than most adults. She knows how to join the party and how to excuse herself when it’s time to settle.

She’s got this rare mix of playful puppy and calm, composed little lady. Inside, she settles beautifully—just curls up beside you or her dog buddy like she’s been part of the household forever. Easy to live with, easy to love. The kind of puppy who already understands that home is where you relax.

Morning rolls around, and she comes out of her crate (yes—she’s crate trained like a pro), walks right up, hugs your leg, and waits for you to come down to her so she can give you kisses. Because in her mind, she missed you. Deeply. Every single time.

Outside, she flips into her fun era—little hops, bounce moves, and her signature move: a polite little nose nudge followed by a sideways hop in the air like, “just circling back—are we playing or what?” It’s impossible not to laugh. Spend ten minutes watching her out there and your face is gonna hurt from smiling like you just sat front row at a comedy show you didn’t even pay for.

She really thrives with a canine buddy—someone to bounce off of, cuddle with, and share her little routines with. We’d love to see her in a home with another dog who will appreciate her easy, thoughtful nature.

Life with Mochi looks like this: a sweet morning hug, a little backyard comedy set, maybe a warm cuddle with her canine buddy to wind down the day—or just a quick recharge snuggled up in between play sessions—and then a calm, cozy presence by your side the rest of the day.

And at her core, Mochi has the most loyal little heart. Once she picks you, she’s all in. Not loud about it—just steady, affectionate, and always close by.

She may look fancy… but Mochi’s real talent is making your life feel lighter the second she walks into it.

See more videos of Mochi here: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL80kWIlZCtlQu8gX0G_WaiNVn4aDAiTPe

+++++++

ADOPTION APPLICATION:
https://form.jotform.com/260401018308040

+++++++

Mochi is currently being fostered in Texas and will be transported to her forever home by our rescue. We have transports departing each week.

+++++++

The Truth About Rescue:

Every rescue pup is a work in progress — and that’s the beauty of it. None of them come wrapped in a bow, ready-made or mistake-free. They come with stories, quirks, and hearts that have seen a lot but still choose to trust again.

Adoption isn’t about perfection; it’s about presence. Showing up for them, every day, until they know they’re finally home. That’s when you’ll see them bloom — confident, connected, and deeply loved. And somewhere along the way, you’ll realize they were never the only one being rescued.

+++++++

Once we have received your application, we will review it and reach out to set up an interview with one of our volunteers. If you have additional questions, please email us at SaintMuttsInquiries@gmail.com

Note: As with all of our rescues, we recommend homes with children 10 years and over to ensure the best fit for both the pets and families involved.

Check out all of our adoptable pups and learn more about our rescue on our website: www.stmuttsrescue.com
