Mocha's Story
I came to the shelter as part of a group of 32 dogs, and at the time I was the most fearful of them all. I was basically feral and didn’t understand people or the world around me. With the help of a patient staff member who spent one-on-one time with me, I’ve learned that I don’t have to be afraid of everything. I absolutely adore her now and I’m beginning to trust and love other people too.
I love other dogs and feel very comfortable around them. I also absolutely love any water I can get into and dig in—I’ll splash, dig, and even dunk my face under to look for treasures, no matter the weather. I’m doing really well with leash manners and am very potty trained. I can still be a little skittish around men, but I continue to improve with time and patience.
I’m still learning and gaining confidence every day, but I’m already showing just how much progress I can make. 🐾💧
