Mocha

Mocha is ready for someone to choose her.

Mocha came to us on July 15 as part of a hoarding case. The missing hair around her neck told part of her story--but it didn't take long for this thankful little dog to realize that her life was finally changing for the better.

On a recent outing, Mocha was timid at first, but that quickly faded. She sniffed, rolled happily in the grass and stayed close to her volunteer. She loved simply being talked to--and the moment squirrels entered the conversation, those adorable ears went straight up!

Mocha walks beautifully on a leash and almost never leaves your side. She has no food aggression and asks for very little--just kindness, companionship and a safe place to belong.

Mocha would do wonderfully as the only dog or with a friendly male dog. She can be dominant with other females, so a meet-and-greet would be important. She may chase cats, so a cat-free home would likely be best.

This sweet girl is approximately 2 years old and around 40 pounds.
