Mocha's Story
***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION NOW ***** Intact female ~5 yrs old 70 pounds Vaccines given 1-30-26 No microchip ALT ID# 1-28-26 3 2/3/26 very anxious, needs serious training, pulls on leash, very nippy with fast movements or touches she does not like (face/ears, belly, back), does act very sweet and likes pets but she is very unsure 2/20/26 - pet is very mouthy if she doesn’t have a toy, she will try to put your arm/leg/hand in her mouth. She has a high arousal and get worked up very quickly when playing. While she ignored other dogs, when she walked past her hackles were up during the entire walk. She had a previous kennelmate she came in with but they had to be separated due to Mocha attacking the other dog when she was jealous of the attention the other dog was receiving. *****Animals are eligible for adoption by the public after their stray hold period. Rescues are permitted to pull NOW; animal is also legally available for euthanasia on this same date. AVAS will continue to follow the protocols in place for the health/safety of the animals in our care. The canine population currently in our care that are not showing symptoms will be posted on our website for public viewing. Canines will continue to be monitored by our medical staff under the direction of our supervising Veterinarian.
