Please welcome M.J. to the 4 PAWS family! In mid-September, our rescue partner in Alabama picked her up right away and cared for her while she received medical treatment and had time to settle in. M.J.’s story is one we hear all too often. She belonged to an older couple, but after her owner tripped over her, the husband decided it was too risky to keep her. He took her to the pound, and though his wife asked him to bring her home again, it happened once more. This time, their son made the difficult decision to surrender her for good.<br/><br/>M.J. is a fun little girl! She’s a 5-year-old Chihuahua who weighs just 6.8 pounds. She’s been spayed, vaccinated, and is ready to find her forever home. M.J. is very smart — she learned the doggie door within 24 hours! She’s a cuddler who loves sleeping under the covers and will happily alert you if there’s “danger” nearby. Her foster home has dogs of all sizes and cats too, and she’s doing great with everyone. <br/><br/>M.J. will need time to acclimate to your home and expectations.
