Meet Mixie! Sweet Mixie is a gentle soul just looking for someone to love! Mixie is about 2-3 years old and has already been through the animal control system TWICE! She had been adopted from the shelter at a young age, so when she showed up again as a stray shelter staff contacted the family that had adopted her. They said they had lost her a YEAR ago but no, they would not be coming to pick her up!! We wish we could say that is shocking, but sadly it's not. So Mixie is on the hunt for her true forever family! Great with all other dogs and people, she is nothing but love! Cuddly and affectionate, Mixie would make a great snuggle buddy to keep you warm on the cool nights that will be heading our way soon. Interested in adopting? Rescue Me Ga Inc's Adoption Policy

We have an application process that we require for any adoption. The application can be found on our website at www.rmgdogs.org - its the first step in our process and required before we set up a time for you to meet the dog you are interested in …. ALL of our dogs are completely vetted - all vaccines - spay or neuter - dewormings - chip - heart worm tested and treated if needed and ready to be loved. WE are foster based which means our dogs are in homes or temporary boarding when we rescue them -- we know their personalities and what would be their best fit! Our dogs come from a rural Georgia shelter and often we take in surrenders from families facing difficult situations….. WE do post many dogs still in need at animal control as well as all who have been saved already that are in foster homes. We do NOT operate a facility where you can visit the dogs unless you contact us to possibly meet one already in a foster

RESCUE ME GEORGIA is a 501c3 non profit rescue group dedicated to saving dogs from a small rural shelter and county outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Since our start November of 2011, we have saved more than 5000 animals in need and have been able to be a part of so many lives changed!
