Meet Mitzi! We believe Mitzi is a Portuguese Podengo mixed with Terrier, some people have suggested Poodle and Terrier (but Mitzi is not hypoallergenic). Whatever the mix, it works because she is an adorable gal. Mitzi has a long, lean body with long legs. She loves to use those legs to run around the yard. Mitzi likes to play with toys; keep away and tug-o-war are her favorite games. Mitzi will also come up for hugs and loves. There can't be too much of either. Mitzi loves, loves, loves to give you a big hug with her paws around your neck and to sit in your lap while you work or relax. Mitzi is about 2 years young and weighs 9 lbs. She is playful, inquisitive, and sweet. She warms up to new dogs and people quickly. Mitzi is fostered with other dogs and would love a playful dog to hang with. She loves to chase her dog friends around and wrestle with them. Mitzi is potty trained and uses a doggie door. She is good on a leash and loves her walks. No easy strolls for this gal, she wants to go, go go! If you are into power walks and need a partner, Mitzi is your gal! She is also good in the car. Mitzi would love a home with children or another dog to play with. She will not enjoying being an only dog staying home alone all day.
