Mitzi's Story

In early January 2026, a Good Samaritan reached out after finding this sweet angel wandering the streets alone. With temperatures dropping and her condition clearly needing attention, we couldn’t say no.

We suspected mange, so the finder got her straight to our vet while we worked on securing a foster. Thankfully, it’s a non-contagious form and easily treatable with medication and a few soothing baths.

The finder named her Mitzi, and honestly, it fits her perfectly. Mitzi is about 9 weeks old, otherwise healthy, and now safely settled in a foster home where she’s getting all the cuddles she deserves. She’s a little skittish right now, but day by day we know her confidence will grow.

Check out #sdfmitzi on Facebook or Instagram or streetdogfoundation.com/pup-profiles/mitzi for more information and pictures!

*Behaviors not listed have yet to be tested.
