Hello there, future family! My name is Misty, and I’m a 1-year-old Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love. I’m a petite girl, weighing in at just 10 pounds, but what I lack in size, I make up for in spirit!

I’ve had quite the journey, coming from a large hoarding case in Texas. But don’t worry, I’m healthy, spayed, vaccinated, and heartworm negative. I wasn’t neglected, just part of an overwhelming number of pups. Now, I’m ready for a calm and loving home where I can flourish.

I’m a bit shy and can be very scared of people I don't know yet, but with time I am such a lovable little girl. I will need a patient owner who can help me with my confidence, as well as housebreaking and leash training. I promise to work hard and learn quickly with some consistency and encouragement.

While my history with children and cats is a mystery, I do know that I get along well with other dogs. I can be a little growly when they go near my things, but I am only a little thing so I just need consistent confirmation that you'll protect me. I’m looking for someone who understands that I might need a little extra time to come out of my shell. But once I do, I’ll shower you with affection and be your loyal companion.
