Mistletoe's Story

Meet Mistletoe, a beautiful white German Shepherd mix with the softest, fluffiest coat you could ever imagine. She may be a little shy and unsure when you first meet her, quietly observing and taking everything in but don't let that fool you. With a handful of treats and a little patience, her true personality starts to shine.

Once she feels comfortable, Mistletoe turns into a burst of pure joy! She'll get the happiest little zoomies, racing around with playful energy and the biggest smile on her face. It's impossible not to laugh watching her come out of her shell.

She absolutely loves being close to her people and will happily stay right by your side, soaking up attention and affection. Sweet, fluffy, playful, and oh so adorable, Mistletoe is truly the cutest companion who just needs a little love (and maybe a few extra treats) to blossom into your most loyal best friend.

Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society & D.A.W.G's Adoption Policy
Our goal is to find a good match for both the animal and the adopter. In order to help you find the most appropriate pet for your household, we ask you to complete a short survey about your home and lifestyle. We also request that as many members of your family meet the animal as possible. It's important that your new animal is compatible with all the people and animals in your house and we do our best to determine the adoptable animal's ability to adjust to your lifestyle. We evaluate each adoption on a case-by-case basis and may ask prospective adopters to visit us several times to meet with the dog or cat prior to completing the adoption. Please visit our shelter to find out more about adopting one of our homeless cats or dogs.
