🐾 Meet Mister Bobby 🐾<br/><br/>Age: 1 year, 8 months<br/><br/>Mister Bobby is a young German Shepherd with a big heart, a sharp mind, and a whole lot of puppy still left in him. Like many adolescent shepherds, he is energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to engage with the world—sometimes a little too eagerly when he doesn’t yet know what’s expected of him.<br/><br/>Before coming into rescue, Mister Bobby found himself on the euthanasia list after struggling in the high-stress shelter environment. During leash-based dog introductions, his nervousness and excitement were misunderstood as something more serious. In reality, Bobby was overwhelmed, hyper-focused, and unsure how to appropriately interact while restrained and surrounded by stress.<br/><br/>Once removed from that environment, his true temperament became clear.<br/><br/>Mister Bobby is currently in training and is doing exceptionally well. He is learning basic obedience commands such as sit, down, heel, and wait, and he is proving to be a very smart, fast learner who enjoys working with his handler. With structure, consistency, and clear expectations, he thrives.<br/><br/>He is also learning proper social skills with other dogs. Mister Bobby is not aggressive—he simply lacks polished play manners and can become overly excited or nervous, especially on leash. This is actively being addressed through training and controlled socialization, and he continues to make steady progress.<br/><br/>Like many young shepherds, Bobby can be a bit mouthy in a puppy-like way, which is improving as his impulse control and training advance. On leash, he may show reactivity rooted in excitement or uncertainty rather than aggression, and this is something he is already learning to manage better with guidance.<br/><br/>Mister Bobby is a good-natured, affectionate, intelligent young dog who was never given the structure he needed early on—but once he has it, he shines. He would do best in a home that can provide:<br/> • Consistent training and routine<br/> • Mental and physical enrichment<br/> • Continued guidance with leash skills and dog socialization<br/> • An adopter familiar with German Shepherds or similar working breeds<br/><br/>With patience, leadership, and love, Mister Bobby will make an incredibly loyal and rewarding companion. He has already shown how much he can grow when given the chance—and he’s ready for a forever home that will continue believing in him.
