MISSY*'s Story

Missy is a sweet senior who is back in the shelter after a brief stay in a foster home. She did great with kids and did well in a fairly busy foster household. She was well- behaved, housebroken, and loves to play with balls or chew toys. Her foster said that she’s great on leash and is a friendly couch potato who loves to snuggle, play, and go for walks. She LOVES any and all people and is a total love bug! In another foster home Missy was mellow and calm. She did great with lots of holiday houseguests and did great when left home alone. She enjoyed playing tug and fetch. “Missy is cuddly and wants to be near you, wants to be petted, takes LOTS of naps, and is just a fun companion. She has a gentle mouth when taking treats, knows sit and down, has a cute quiet snore, and rides well in the car.” Missy also got to go on a field trip away from the shelter- she went to a home to hang out away from all the noise and other shelter pups. She was described as cute, fun, relaxed and a very enjoyable houseguest. She rides well in the car, enjoys being outdoors and going on short hikes, and is generally just a mellow, laid back kind of lady! Here's what one of her shelter friends said: “Missy was eager to go on her walk. She is a nice walker and I enjoy spending time with her. She is easily steerable in a different direction when she is interested in other dogs going by. Responsive to verbal cues, wags her tail, and comes toyou when you talk to her in a happy voice. Inquisitive and active girl.” Missy adores all humans but can be bit choosier when it comes to her canine friends. She needs to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit or would certainly thrive as your one and only- more attention for her that way!! Ask to meet Missy today!!
