Miss Squish's Story

Dog Lover Rescue needs a loving home (and preferably a mama that wants her Velcro baby) ASAP so this angel doesn’t die in a shelter alone. Apply NOW : www.DogLoverRescue.org

Miss Squish is just 2 years old, yet she has already endured more loss than most ever should.

She was dumped at an overcrowded shelter two days before giving birth — heartworm positive, scared, and facing euthanasia simply because there was no space. What should have been a moment of hope became unimaginable heartbreak when all of her puppies passed away.
As she fought to survive, Miss Squish underwent surgery to remove a mammary tumor. The diagnosis came back as stage 3 carcinoma.

She has only known pain and suffering and yet this young ridiculously adorable shortie loves with her entire soul. She is so affectionate and devoted. She lights up around humans, leans in for comfort, and treasures every moment of connection. She would do best as an only pet, where she can soak up all the love and attention she has been denied for far too long and frankly, she deserves it being all about her. Can you tell how much she loves toys? She squishes her whole happy smile up around them and totes them around showing off. It’s the cutest thing you have ever seen!

Miss Squish has a chance- her tumor was not her death sentence. That is why it is so important she get into a home that is willing to keep fighting for her. She can get follow up with an oncologist and more scans and the rescue is happy to help with a fundraiser. But, the great news is, her mammary tumor was successfully removed already and her lung scans came black clear which is a great sign!

This angel is simply asking for someone to love her as much as she so desperately wants to love them. We never know how long each of us have here, but what we do know, is that time is always better spent together and full of love. And thats what you will get with precious Miss Squish!
