Miss Lola was dumped at a local gas station; she was starving and must have had puppies recently. She is about 50 lbs and about 1yr old ( or 1 1/2 yrs old). In spite of her difficult beginnings...she loves human attention! Miss Lola is happy, very intelligent and sweet. She loves going on walks and playing with her squeaky toys.
How is she in the car, you ask? She loves going on car rides, is very comfortable loading up in a car or truck and she is a great passenger. She did great on a 3 hour car ride to Santa Fe area. Most strays have a hard time surviving and take time to adjust to being a part of a family. This girl adjusted to get along with our dogs and she especially loves playing with our female dog. However, she is not good with cats (but we do keep working with her and our cat).
Miss Lola knows sit, down (lay down) and "find it" (for finding her squeaky toy). She is young, strong, and sweet. She does have an energetic side to her and sometimes jumps up when she gets excited, and we are working on that. She is most focused on human attention. She normally stays outside because of the issues with her and our cat, but at different times we bring her in and she has become much more comfortable being indoors and even snuggles in the recliner with my husband.
Are you a perfect fit out there for her? She deserves to be happy, loved, cared for and safe for the rest of her life. She will bring her owner so much love and joy.
Miss Lola is fostered south of Gallup, NM, but meets and greets can be arranged within a few hours of her foster home.
