Miss Brownie's Story

My name is Miss Brownie, and despite my moniker, I'm not a baked good. I'm a chocolate lab mix, about 55 pounds of pure love, packed into a three-year-old frame. I'm currently residing with my amazing foster family, and let me tell you, my life has been a dream.

Car rides? Oh, I adore them! I'm content to curl up into a comfy ball and nap the whole way, or, if the scenery's interesting, I'll happily gaze out the window, taking it all in. But my absolute favorite thing is being a lap dog. Give me a cozy lap and I’m in heaven! The lazy boy recliner is my throne, and when my foster parent sits there, I become the royal lap warmer.

My foster parents often chuckle because toys and fetch just don’t do it for me. I'm more of a snuggler than a chaser. I'm a low-maintenance kind of girl. I don't bark much, and I get along famously with the other dogs in the house. Chewing furniture? Bolting out the door? Nope, not me. I'm a good girl through and through.

My foster mom says I'm incredibly easy to care for. I even go right into my crate when asked, although truth be told, I don't really need it. I'm perfectly trustworthy to have the run of the house. Walks are pretty great, though I do need a little help. My foster parents use a gentle leader, which teaches me not to pull so hard. I love getting attention, and it's much more pleasant for everyone when I'm not dragging them down the street.

I am hoping to find a forever home with other dogs because I love the energy and companionship. If you have room in your heart for a cuddly, well-behaved lady who's house broken and just wants to shower you in affection, maybe it’s me!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog. From there, you can submit an Adoption Application to be considered for this dog. You MUST be an approved applicant to meet LOLIN dogs. There is no central location or hours to meet dogs.
