Miss B's Story

Miss B IS AVAILABLE (updated 10-20-2026). To meet any of our dogs, complete our online adoption application on our website: http://www.coastalgsr.org/dogs/miss-b 'Miss B' is a 5-6 month old, female German Shepherd. B stands for Bear. She lived with an owner who had home and health issues and family members stepped in and asked Coastal GSR to take her and a male dog named Loki. Miss B is in a foster home with several adult Huskies. She was shy and nervous when she went into her foster home but came out of her shell after spending time with her foster siblings, plus her foster mom has taken her out in public to get her familiar with the big world. She had a very limited environment with her previous owner. She rides well in a car and has taken several trips to Northern Cal. with her foster family. That's a bonus for anyone looking for a traveling companion. We don't think Miss B will be a very large Shepherd. She is on the small side but has some more growing to do. She is microchipped. She needs only one more puppy vaccination and will need to be spayed down the road, both will be covered by Coastal GSR. Miss B is crate trained and well on her way to being housebroken. She understands the concept but still needs subtle reminders to go through the dog door out to the yard. She walks like a typical puppy on a leash. She is very smart and knows her name, sit, down, and how to use her voice to demand attention. The minimum adoption donation is $375 for adults and $500 for puppies. This helps cover vet care, boarding fees, and other expenses. All dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
