Meet Misha! Well hello there! My name is Misha, and I’m a beautiful, 6-year-old Husky girl with gorgeous red coloring with a soft, sweet temperament. I weigh about 60 pounds, which is the perfect size for both snuggling on the couch and trotting along on a nice walk—which I’m great at on a leash, by the way! I had a little unexpected adventure as a stray that landed me in animal control. I'm ready to put my past behind me and find the loving family I know is out there. I'm told I'm incredibly sweet and just melt when I get affection. Someone cared enough to teach me sit and shake! I’m a social butterfly and have been having a blast playing with all the other pups here, both the boys and the girls. So, if you already have a furry friend, I’d be thrilled to join their pack! All I really want is a quiet, comfortable place to call my own where I can shower my people with love and loyalty. I've been waiting for my forever family to walk through that door, and I have a feeling that maybe it could be you. I’m ready to come home! Saving Grace Rescue LBK's Adoption Policy

Our adoption fee is $225 (locally). This fee goes toward the cost of our vetting expenses for the dog, which includes the dog being spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. We require an application and home visit for adoption of one of our dogs. We want to ensure our dogs are placed in forever homes and are not in a situation that would be unsafe for the dog or perpetuate the misconceptions surrounding Pit Bulls. We prefer that adopters be at least 21 years old, but we will consider applicants under 21 on a case by case basis - so please still fill out an application. Please keep in mind that we know our dogs well; behavior, temperament, special needs, etc. Any decisions we make are in trying to do what's best for our dogs and the homes that we adopt them into. **If you are adopting out of state and we are sending a dog for adoption through our partner, Project Freedom Ride, the adoption fee is $500 which covers all vetting requirements and transport costs.**

Our rescue was founded by a group of friends. We saw a strong need for advocates for Pit Bulls in our community. The Lubbock, TX animal shelter takes in close to 2,000 Pit Bulls each year and euthanizes approximately 80% of Pit Bulls that arrive at the shelter.
