Misha's Story

Misha, was picked up as a stray locally in Maryland.
She is chipped and her owners have been contacted numerous times and Animal Control even stopped at their house and posted a note on their door. They have not contacted the shelter in 3 weeks since she was picked up leaving us to believe she was abandoned.

Beautiful Misha is a 2-year old Husky, possibly mixed with a Border Collie or Kelpie. She weighs around 56 lbs.
She seems to get along with other dogs (has been around mostly bigger dogs) and is people friendly.
She has not been tested with kids or cats.

Misha would do best with a family with older kids where someone is home most of the time. Misha, like most Huskies and Collie are social animals and like being near her humans.
We don't think she would be an ideal dog for a first-time dog owner. Best would be someone with Husky or Border Collie experience and aware of their temperament and needs.

This pretty girl would make an amazing hiking, walking and running partner. She has higher energy and will require lots of exercise. She would also benefit from agility training. She would be amazing at that since she is very athletic.
She is super-smart and easy to train.

Misha is spayed, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines, she is on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

The name Misha means: " Happy for entire life, The message bearer from the God." and comes from the Hindu language.

Send us an email if you are interested in this pretty and darling girl.
