Mischka's Story

Meet Mischka! Mischka is an 8 year old Siberian Husky! She is already spayed and has been started on her vaccines. Mischka joined HSHP as her owners just didn't have enough time to accommodate her anymore. Mischka was primarily kept outdoors and will need help with her house training. She also was never trained on any basic commands and will need to be worked with patiently Mishka has been around cats and other dogs before, and got along with them all! She's also been around children, and while she didn't mind them, she tended to avoid them. We always recommend a meet and greet with any siblings prior to taking a new pet home, so you can be sure it's a good fit. While we are still getting to know this little lady, I spent some time with her and she is very sweet. It is going to be hard for adjusting to her new life after spending 8 years of her life with one family, but with the right and patient adopters, Mischka is going to thrive! Humane Society of the High Plains's Adoption Policy

Adoption Fees Spayed/Neutered Dogs $90 Spayed/Neutered Cats $80 Intact Dogs $90 + $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit. Intact Cats $80 + $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit. A $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit is required for all unaltered animals. Kansas State Law KSA: 47-1701, requires all animals adopted from an animal shelter be spayed or neutered. Lonely Hearts Club Adoption Fees are half-priced for any animal that has been residing at the shelter for at least 30 days. Requirements: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt. Landlord approval is required. All unaltered animals must be spayed or neutered before a predetermined date. We DO NOT adopt animals as gifts. Ask about our gift certificates. All adoptions must be processed in person at the shelter.
