Miranda's Story
Meet Miranda!

2.5 years
47 lbs
Female spayed
Shepherd mix

Meet Miranda (aka Mira, Mimi, or Moose Caboose!)

Miranda is a 2.5-year-old, 47-pound spayed female with a big heart, a goofy streak, and enough affection to fill every room she walks into. Around her foster home she goes by many nicknames—Mira, Mimi, Mira Moose, Moose Caboose—and she happily answers to all of them as long as there are belly rubs involved.

Mira is fully house trained and does great in her crate, settling in easily when it’s time to relax. She has a medium energy level and would thrive in a home that offers playtime, walks, and plenty of cuddle breaks on a comfy bed. She absolutely loves toys, though fair warning—they don’t last long! Destruction is part of the fun for her.

She’s good with other dogs and would do best with playful canine companions who enjoy an active play style. Miranda does show some mild resource guarding around her crate and food with other dogs only, but she does not resource guard with people at all. Clear boundaries and supervision help her do her best. Cats and kids are currently unknown, though her gentle, sweet nature suggests she’d likely do well with respectful introductions.

Miranda is quiet overall—you may forget she’s there, except for the occasional happy wiggle or toy explosion. She walks on a leash but will need gentle reminders not to pull, and she’s still polishing some manners like counter surfing and using her mouth to ask for attention (always soft and never aggressive).

What really makes Miranda shine is her personality. She’s adventurous, affectionate, athletic, brave, curious, extroverted, gentle, goofy, playful, smart, and incredibly snuggly. She’s quick to learn and eager to please, especially when boundaries are consistent. One of her cutest quirks? She does an adorable little spin before flopping onto her back to demand belly rubs.

Miranda is an all-around wonderful dog who’s ready for a home that will love her playful spirit, keep her engaged, and give her all the affection she deserves. If you’re looking for a smart, sweet, fun-loving companion, Mira might just be your perfect match.

Interested in adopting?
