Mira - COURTESY POST's Story

THIS IS A COURTESY POST. THIS DOG IS NOT IN OUR RESCUE.

Meet Mira. She is a rescue dog from the Karen's in Detroit. She is now in a foster home and is doing well.

Mira is a 4 year old (estimated) Pitbull. She is spayed and up to date on all vaccinations. She was heartworm positive, but has received treatment and is doing great.

Mira has had a rough life. She was rescued in the City of Detroit. She had to have her tail amputated due to extreme damage from living outdoors. When she was rescued, she had a body score of 2 (with 1 indicating emaciated). She is now back up to a body score of 4 to 5 (out of 10).

Mira is looking for a family who will give her the life she deserves - one filled with love and being spoiled and where she is considered a family member. A physical fenced yard would be preferred.

Her foster mom states that Mira is leash trained and is learning how to sit. She loves car rides, is crate trained, likes dogs and people. Mira's foster mom isn't sure on how she gets along with cats, but she says she has barn cats, which Mira doesn't show much interest in. She takes treats nicely and isn't food aggressive.

If you are interested in getting more information or meeting Mira, please contact Carrie at (517) 404-8515.
