Minnie's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Minnie! Minnie is a 10 year old female chihuahua and she weighs about 7 pounds. Minnie arrived in rescue when her previous family got a kitten and decided to keep the kitten instead of her when the landlord said only one pet was allowed:( She has settled into foster care nicely but would love to have a forever family! Her foster mom says: Minnie may be a little shy at first, but give her a moment and she turns into the sweetest little shadow you could ask for. Once she decides you’re her person, she wants nothing more than cuddles, kisses, and a cozy spot right beside you. She’s a calm, gentle girl who enjoys a peaceful home, with the occasional burst of tiny zoomies on her walks to keep things fun. Her favorite activities? Snuggling under blankets, sunbathing like a princess, and sneaking in naps whenever possible ~ she truly lives for her beauty sleep! She isn’t big on toys (they’re more of a comfort item at her age), but she’ll happily play by gently nibbling your fingers in true Chihuahua fashion. Minnie is pee-pad trained and knows how to potty outside too. Keeping a pad available simply helps her feel the most comfortable and confident, while she still enjoys her outdoor potty breaks on walks. She doesn’t need a crate and settles nicely in the home. She coexists well with a cat and would likely do best with calm, respectful dogs, she’s a laid back girl who appreciates a relaxed environment. If you’re looking for a loving, cuddly companion who will happily share the couch, the sunshine, and your bedtime routine, Minnie is your girl. She’s truly a little love bug just waiting for her person

Minnie is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had her teeth cleaned.

Minnie is fostered in the Orlando area and her adoption donation is $375. If you are interested in applying to adopt Minnie, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
