Minnie Labrador Retriever & Foxhound Mix Arnprior, ON

Minnie was surrendered by her owner to the shelter when she was 7 months old. Her owner kept her and her litter mates in a small room in the house, they were only allowed outside on a zip line on the driveway.
She was never socialized in any way and was extremely traumatized when brought to the shelter.
We have worked with Minnie to try to help her build some confidence. She has come a long way but really needs to find a home with someone that has the time and patience to help her further.
She is an energetic girl, she loves to run and jump. She would be best suited in an adult home, she has never been around children and would be too rambunctious. A quiet, rural home with no other pets would be best. She will need someone with dog experience to come into the shelter to spend one on one time with her so she can get used to you where she is comfortable.
She is a sweet, loveable girl once you gain her trust, because of her past she takes a lot more time to warm up to men but once she does, look out she’s full of kisses!
