Minerva's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Introducing “Minerva,” a 3-year-old female Aussie/Border collie mix up-for-adoption with Homeward Bound Dog Rescue of New York. She is a sweet and loving girl—very petite at 30lbs. She is incredibly smart but high energy outside, always ready for fun!

Inside, she settles down in her crate nicely and naps on the couch. But outside, she will need someone who likes to exercise, hike, walk, run, play ball, play frisbee, etc. She’s literally geared up and ready for dog sports, if that’s your thing. Because of her high energy, a large fenced yard will be a requirement. She is good with other dogs and was in a home with cats. She’s housebroken and fully crate trained.

She acts very “Border Collie-ish,” so working/herding dog experience would be a big plus. She would not be a good dog for the elderly or families with small toddlers as she just moves too quickly for them. If you have the right kind of home for Minerva, apply online today!!

www.homewardbounddogrescue.com

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
