Mina's Story

Meet Mina! This gorgeous 3-year-old shepherd is such a catch. Mina is a very social and lovable pup who adores just about anyone she meets.

Unfortunately, she was brought to the shelter after her previous owner abandoned her when leaving for college. A family member who took her in decided they did not want to care for her or did not have the time. Mina was kept in an outdoor kennel (even at night) and, when she wasn't in the kennel, she was crated for 10 hours or more each day.

Mina could potentially live with another dog in the home as long as a proper introduction is done. She enjoys the company of other dogs and seems to thrive when she has a calm, friendly companion to help her feel secure.

She already knows quite a few commands and is eager to learn more, she'll do just about anything for a treat! With a little patience and positive reinforcement, she's sure to become an even more well-mannered and confident companion.
