Milo's Story
Let’s just get real Milo and his 3 siblings, came into our care on May 8th, 2025.
155 days in foster care!!
Unfortunately in rescue plain puppies that simply aren’t “cute enough” just sit in foster care and are looked over time and time. Not cute enough to be adopted.. New puppies come in that are smaller and cuter and they adopt but the plain ones just stay and grow up. They simply aren’t eye catching enough and we guess people feel they aren’t worthy enough to add them to their family.
This makes us very sad. Now Milo and his 3 siblings are growing up in foster care, waiting for someone to give them their first real home!! No they are not tiny little dogs… No, they are not fluffy little pure bred dogs, BUT We believe they’re perfect just as they are and hope someone will see their worth and love them just the same.
Milo and his siblings were born on March 23rd, 2025. They currently weigh about 40 pounds. Their mom was a 30-pound mixed breed, and their dad was a Dachshund mix.

You can also reach us by sending a message to us on our Facebook page at Heart of Louisiana Humane Society.
